Need a hand with GuideHour? We're a small team and we read every message. The fastest way to get help is to email us directly — most questions are answered within 1–2 business days.
Include your device model and, if it helps, a screenshot — it lets us track things down faster.
Email usGuideHour puts 20,000+ Midwest lakes and rivers on one live map — depth contours, DNR survey and stocking records, species data and today's conditions all a tap away. All of that is fed to an AI Guide you can ask where to start, what to throw and when to be there, plus a daily report written for the water and species you choose. It also keeps a logbook of your trips, which the Guide reads too.
GuideHour Fish is available now and free on both stores — on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android.
You can create an account and sign in with Apple, Google, or your email address. If you're having trouble signing in, make sure you're using the same method you originally signed up with, then email us if it still won't connect.
Location is used while the app is in use to give you local conditions, nearby lakes, and species advice relevant to your area. It's optional — you can enter a ZIP code instead, or decline the permission and still use the app. You can change this anytime in your device's location settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services on iOS, or Settings › Apps › GuideHour › Permissions on Android).
Conditions come from the National Weather Service, water temperature from USGS gauges where a gauge exists (and a seasonal estimate where one doesn't), and lake, stocking, regulation and species records from each state's own public wildlife agency. Lake coverage currently spans Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Depth contours and 3D lake beds are live on Minnesota lakes today, with more states on the way.

Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by the store you bought through — Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google at Google Play.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase, then use Restore purchases in the account sheet. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.
You can do it yourself in the app in under a minute: tap the account icon in the top right, scroll to the bottom of the account drawer, tap Delete account, then confirm with Yes, delete. It's permanent and takes effect immediately. If you can't sign in, see our Account Deletion page for how to request it by email.
Note that deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription — cancel that separately in the App Store or Google Play first.
We collect only what's needed to run the app and we don't sell your personal information or use it for advertising. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
If your question isn't answered above, reach out and we'll get back to you — usually within 1–2 business days.
